Strat-O-Matic 'As Played' Files

'As Played' Files

To use the 'As Played' files , the league must be (reset to) unplayed. Copy the 'As Played' files to the Rosters directory.

Assuming we are trying to use the 'As Played' files for the 1934 AL season, you should copy 1934AL.trn, 1934AL.sch and 1934AL.lup to the game's 'Rosters directory. Make sure these files have the same root name as the league you have created. If you named your league 1934AP then you will have to change the three 'As Played' files to 1934AP.trn, 1934AP.sch and 1934AP.lup.

Set the game options to use auto-transactions and to use auto-lineups. You do NOT have to run the SOM DOS file 'asplayed.bat'.

1901 AL and NL schedule, lineup and transaction files. "The transaction files include trades between teams and realistic promotions/demotions. They are designed to assign the players to their original teams upon the completion of a season. The first time you play with this file, you will receive a message that certain players are not on the correct team. I recommend that you play at least one autoplay season prior to attempting manual play. This will insure that all of the players are on the correct team."

Strat-O-Matic Schedules

Schedules

These schedules can only be used by SOM CDROM version 5.0 or later. You must use the import schedule feature to utilize the new schedule. Unless otherwise stated, the schedules assume that the league format and team abreviations are those that are from the original SOM roster disks for that particular season listed.

Use of these will overwrite any existing schedule, so if you wish to retain a prior schedule that was not from the SOM schedule disk* then first make a copy of the prior schedule and store it elsewhere.

To use the schedule files , the league must be (reset to) unplayed. Highlight the league in _Manager_. Then pull down _League/ Schedule Maintenance_. Find the Opening Day in the enclosed Read file + adjust in the calendar window. Then _Import_= OK, + it's done.

Also visit Ted Coursen's site for the complete list of Schedules.
